Treasurer’s Report
Financial report was discussed. Expenses and Income was shown, Pete DeGuardia stated that our financial situation was in order and rest of board agreed. If anyone has any concerns or questions regarding the finances please speak/e-mail your team general manager. If your general manager does not have an answer, your question will be escalated to Pete DeGuardia.

President’s Report
·        Lucky Bucks: Only 650 of our 999 raffles were sold for November. Money raised from this is used for various miscellaneous expenses. Including but not limited to gifts for players (ex. recently handed out hats, recently handed out patches in memory of Coach Bill Misa, gifts given at the awards dinner to the players etc). Because of parent complaints a vote was taken by the board concerning the February Lucky Bucks. By a vote of 4 to 1 it was decided to cancel February’s Lucky Bucks. This, combined with the poor participation of November’s Lucky Bucks will affect the team’s “extras” listed above.
·        Journal Ads: Last year a total of 82 journal ads were sold. This year our journal ads sold totals 24. Not even a third of last year’s total. Journal ads are an excellent way of deferring the cost of tuition. It is encouraged by all to ask your local merchants to help their local kids by purchasing an ad, you may be surprised by how many yes’s you will get.
·        Questions:
o       How many signatures are needed on the clubs expense checks? Always two signatures that are $1,000.00 or more.
o       How many kids do we have in the league? 50, but, there are some who are still under 12, so they do not pay the tuition (yet), only practice with the team.
o       How many journal ads were sold this year? 24
o       How many of the November Lucky Bucks were sold? 650
o       Why is practice so expensive? We have a “prime” time practice slot. In order to “hold” our time slot we have to pay for the entire year. Many teams in the league either have no practice at all or off peak practice slots. This also explained the question, why do some teams have lower tuition?

New Business
·        Fund raising: Since lucky bucks have been cancelled for February does anyone have any ideas of how else we can raise money? One suggestion was a car wash. If anyone has any other ideas and would like to follow through by volunteering please let your general manager know.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Mary A. Farino
Secretary
